Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a Lebanese/British lawyer, human rights activist and charitable philanthropist. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive professional career in the field of human rights and international law has won her international recognition. Her clients include several high-profile nation-states, including Armenia and its struggle to get the Turkish government recognize the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney was engaged and then married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a well-known name in pop entertainment. Prior to this, she was previously been a well-known name within the legal community for her ability to represent clients. She has tackled human and civil rights as well as representing multi-national corporations in court proceedings and negotiations over federal regulations.
